The Stafford Family Resource Center believes that parents are the foundation of a child's development. The Stafford FRC works to support families by providing accessibility to community - based resources as well as parenting education programs.. We believe that through partnering with families, community agencies and the public school system, we can create positive health and developmental outcomes for children.
Income Eligibility Requirements |
The Stafford Family Resource Center is funded by a grant from the CT State Department of Education. There are no income eligibility requirements for our programs or services.
The Stafford FRC works in collaboration with the Stafford Early Head Start , the Stafford Police Department, local service providers, agencies & Town Departments.
FRC After School Childcare Program |
The Stafford FRC provides a NAEYC accredited quality childcare program during the school year, for West Stafford Students enrolled in AM Pre-Kindergarten. Their are two options available:
- 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a cost of $125.00 per week OR
- 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a cost of $75.00 per week
We also provide after school childcare from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. during the school year for West Stafford students enrolled in PM Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for a cost of $50.00 per week.
The FRC Childcare Program is located at West Stafford School and is closed when there is not school.
Parenting Education & Support |
Parents as Teachers (PAT) (https://parentsasteachers.org/) is a nationally accredited parent education curriculum based on the concept that parents are a child's first and most important teacher. Stafford FRC Home visitors are certified in PAT. This curriculum is used during home visits and also during family connection times.
FRC Learn & Play Groups for ages 0-5 |
Groups are designed to encourage social and emotional learning while providing opportunities for parents/caregivers to interact with their children in a fun and developmentally enriching environment.

Throughout the year we offer parenting workshops on a variety of topics such as Positive Discipline Techniques, Autism Spectrum Information and Support, ADD/ADHD Information and Support, and more!
